* C5- 5th Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, PECICA, ROMANIA

  • A38: The classes integrate teams from partner schools, familiar with the functioning of schools, meeting with students and local authorities.
  • A39: Get to know the region and the achievements of cultural and everyday life in Romania ( Presentations and short films about Romania, Learn basic words in Romanian, Dance shows, music, Sightseeing Pecica – city game, Visiting Arad)
  • A60: Various methods of teaching astronomy: tutorials with teachers and students of all partner schools
  • A61: Workshops: a lesson in the planetarium
  • A62: Workshops: legends and myths associated with astronomy
  • A63: A trip to the nature reserve debate about light pollution, energy conservation and pro-environmental attitudes
  • A64: Tour Apuseni mountains: where the earth meets the sky –> due to bad weather forecast and due we couldn’t manage to loan the mobile planetarium, we decided to change the location from Apuseni Mountains to Maramureș where is a great Planetarium.
  • A65: Scientific Conference ‘Reach the Sky’: meeting with people interested in astronomical and environmental issues

*C4 – 4th Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, Granadilla de Abona, TENERIFE, SPAIN

  • A38: Getting to know the functioning of schools and the education system in Turkey, meeting with students, teachers, local authorities, participation in school activities
  • A39: To acquaint students of partner schools of the region and cultural achievements and the life of residents, trivia astronomical Gaziantep (Visit the Old Bazaar,Tour of the castle, Visiting the Museum of Turkish cuisine, a museum of traditional crafts, mosaics museum, park miniatures, trip to Halfeti – the sunken city)
  • A48: Developing pro-environmental attitudes (The Euphrates river cruise and a visit to the dam Birecik – seminarium on saving energy; the action of planting trees in terms of rational use of environmental resources; tree Erasmus as a trace of the Cooperation international; the possibility of using solar energy for water heating in households)
  • A49: Lectures and workshops at the planetarium – screenings astronomy, navigation through the night sky Turkey
  • A50: Astronomical observations – classes conducted by teachers of partner schools – exercises in identifying constellations, phases of the moon, the study of light pollution.
  • *A4: Multimedia presentations disciples: “Great Astronomers” (show form the largest European astronomers)
  • *A3: “Moon in different cultures” (information on natural satellite of the Earth and its place in human life and culture, the importance of the moon in the reckoning of time on Earth), preparation of a quiz / puzzle related to the history of astronomical research and the Moon.

*C3 – Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, Granadilla de Abona, TENERIFE,SPAIN

  • A38: The classes integrate teams from partner schools, familiar with the functioning of schools, meeting with teachers, students and local authorities
  • A39: To acquaint students of partner schools with the natural environment of the region and cultural achievements and the everyday life of residents (Cultural program, Visiting Santa Cruz and Tenerife)
  • A57: Lectures and workshops on science museum in La Laguna
  • A58: The night sky observations in Santa Cruz de La Palma – the location of celestial bodies belonging to the solar system, identifying constellations.
  • A59: The astronomical observations of the Sun – exercises in conducting safe observation of the stars, measuring the height of the Sun above the horizon and compare the results of the measurements made in the partner countries to demonstrate the relationship between the height of the sun and the climate.
  • A45: Workshops – processing of images, developing communication skills in English.
  • A2: Multimedia presentations the students about the solar system and the Sun – the construction and the rise of the Sun, its evolution and the influence of solar activity on human life, the possibility of using the sun to produce heat and power.

*C2- 2ndShort-term exchanges of groups of pupils, Gorlice, POLAND

  • A38: The classes integrate teams from the partner schools – games and sports, familiar with the functioning of schools and the education system in Poland (part of geography lessons, wildlife and English), meetings with teachers, parents and local authorities.
  • A39:To acquaint students of partner schools with the natural environment of the region Gorlice and cultural achievements and the everyday life of citizens – urban game.
  • A51: Field workshops in Radocynie  – to develop skills of observation and study of simple objects on the celestial sphere in an international environment with the use of English language – height of the Sun on the celestial sphere, guiding the world, to recognize constellations, determination of the Polar Star and on the basis of determination latitude of our location, determining the brightness of the night sky and the degree of light pollution – a comparison of the measurements made in their localities, to develop data using mathematical and statistical tools; determination of the main directions of the world altitude of the Sun above the horizon, determining the position of the Pole Star and on its basis – determination of the directions of the world and latitude of the place of observation, the observations of the night sky: the planets, stars, comets, meteors using telescopes and binoculars, observations of the phases of the moon, astronomical shows.
  • A52-A53: educational trip to Krakow (A52) and Niepolomice (A53) – to familiarize with the history of astronomy in Poland (Jagiellonian University Museum, presentation pendulum Foucault`a) and classes at the Youth Astronomical Observatory (observations of solar activity using specialized filters, astronomy workshops conducted by academics).
  • A54: The educational trip  – to familiarize with the functioning of the Star of Heaven Park “Bieszczady” and the development of entrepreneurial attitudes among young people and activity on the local environment by taking actions to establish in their region Dark Sky (the area is not contaminated light); presenting opportunities to develop business in conjunction with the use of natural environment of their region (astroturism);
  • A55: Scientific conference -“Light pollution” with participation of local authorities and representatives of the schools in the region (astroturim’s promotion, dissemination of results of the project in the local community).
  • A56: Photographic Workshops “Astrophotography” – acquainted with the main principles of taking pictures of objects on the celestial sphere.
  • A20: The contest for computer graphics “Turn off the lights – save the energy!” – an exhibition of works.
  • A47: Summary of the meeting of partner schools: development by students and teachers materials on the project’s website, quiz for students on the completion of the course, evaluation meetings.

  • A38: The classes integrate teams from partner schools, creation of a logo design, familiar with the functioning of schools and the education system in Slovenia, meeting with students, teachers, local authorities.
  • A39: To acquaint students of partner schools of the region and cultural achievements and the life of residents – dance shows, folk music, visiting Sentjur .
  • A40: Lectures and workshops in astronomical observatory in Ljubljana – an understanding of issues relating to outer space, visiting the laboratory testing satellite technologies.
  • A41: Visit the Astronomical Society Laboratory – a lecture on space, astronomical observations, “travel” to Alpha Centauri – the star in the constellation Centaurus, the execution of Cosmos’s Calendar.
  • A42: A visit to the planetarium – a lecture on the Big Bang, comparing the stars and constellations.
  • A43: Getting to know the program Stellarium
  • A44: Getting to know the program Sally Ride EarthKAM.
  • A45: Workshops- processing of captured images, to prepare for the competition and prepare photo gallery of the Earth.
  • A46: Educational Trip – Savinjska sightseeing attractions, a visit to the European Space Technology  Centre in Vitanje.
  • A47: Summary of meeting the project – development by pupils of materials (abstracts, posters, etc.) on the project website, a profile on FB, the magazine and newspaper project.

OCTOBER 2015

*M1: FIRST TRANSNATIONAL MEETING, POLAND

  • Establish direct contacts coordinators and school teachers involved in the project, consult the school principal coordinating the project, and representatives of the authority conducting (District of Gorlice);
  • A detailed analysis of the work schedule in the first year of the project – the confirmation of the allocation of tasks, rules of communication, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Joint clarification of measures to achieve those objectives, discuss results and products in the first year of operation and ways for their dissemination;
  • Discussion of the agenda of a meeting  learning / teaching in Slovenia and the principles of joint funding project activities;
  • Workshops for teachers – to discuss ways of working with young people, a detailed selection of exercises to perform at partner schools in preparation for the meeting in Slovenia;
  • Exchange of experience in the field of cooperation of schools with parents.
